"If we're choosing to portray sex, I think we should do it responsibly, or at least somewhat realistically."
Did you hear the news? Netflix's thriller series You, starring Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti, has officially been renewed for a third season. But enough about that for a sec, let's just take a moment to circle back to season 2, shall we? There's still so much to discuss.
In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar, Victoria sat down to talk all things Love Quinn and what the bloody hell happened in You season 2. (Spoiler alert: she thinks Love will "probably not" be a very good mother.)

As you know, there are several disturbing scenes throughout the series (still thinking about that scene where Joe cuts up Jasper's body, tbh), but when Victoria was asked which scene disturbed her the most, her answer was quite surprising.
"I think the most unsettling thing is probably when we shot the sex scene where we were both meant to start having sex and come simultaneously in five seconds," she said. "I found that really disturbing. I was like, 'How are we…? That's not real.'"
Victoria went on to explain that that she was a little critical about it. "I was like, I don't know if we should be putting that out into the world and disrupting people, especially young people who watch the show, which we can't deny the fact we have a young audience."
"If we're choosing to portray sex, I think we should do it responsibly, or at least somewhat realistically. And so I found that a little disturbing."
Of course, You isn't exactly real life, it's heightened, but as Victoria said, "I mean, they’re not real people. I think they are meant to be relatable."
She has a point! She has a damn point!
In other You news, Joe Goldberg himself Penn Badgley has recently shut down that huge season 3 theory about the neighbour at the end of season 2.
While the internet lost their collective minds over the fact that it might turn out to be his mother, Penn told Bustle, that "she's definitely not his mum. I can say that".
You season 3 is set to drop on Netflix at some point in 2021.
