It's no secret that we're obsessed with YOU. Ever since the critically acclaimed thriller was added to Netflix at the end of last month, we haven't been able to stop thinking about it. YOU tells the story of bookstore owner Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley), who meets Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail) by chance, falls in love at first sight and then attempts to win her over. It sounds romantic, right?

No. For those of who you haven't watched YOU yet, Joe is a stalker and he is petrifying. He isn't just some guy who is a little bit too invested in a relationship, he's dangerous af. From spying on Beck in private and stealing her underwear (!) to actually killing people (!!), he is a total psychopath. With that in mind, you'd think that people hate him and yet many fans now fancy Joe.

WTF? No. We're not joking. Just one look at social media and you'll see that Joe Goldberg has many admirers in spite of his terrifying antics. Of course, Penn Badgely himself is attractive (this is not up for debate) but there is literally nothing that is in any way redeemable about Joe. He literally masturbates in public watching Beck in her house from the street. He is gross.

And that's not even getting into his multiple murders (RIP Peach Salinger).
