Get ready, Umbrella Academy fans. We're so close to new episodes of the Gerard Way comic series turned Netflix hit. The cast and crew are expressing their excitement as they close out six months of filming for The Umbrella Academy season 2.
The Umbrella Academy fans, rejoice. The wait for season 2 just got a little bit shorter. The Umbrella Academy season 2 has officially finished filming, which means it's only a matter of time before we rejoin the Hargreeves siblings on a time travel hail Mary that may or may not decide the entire fate of the world. No biggie.
The cast and crew working on season 2 of the popular Netflix dramedy have expressed excitement at being one step closer to bringing the new season to fans. Although Netflix have, torturously, held back on announcing a release date for season 2, the excitement of UA's cast is infectious.

The season 2 shoot lasted six months and fans will be glad to know that they'll be getting ten brand new episodes come 2020. For now, the cast and crew have packed up, said goodbye, and left Toronto.
"Ben and I are headed home. A huge thank you to our cast and crew, who've become a second family to me the last six months; I’ll miss seeing your beautiful faces every day. And Toronto, I fall more in love with you every year — especially when I can run away right before winter gets bad. I can't wait for you guys to see what we’ve been working on. Season 2 is gonna be wild," he captioned his Instagram tribute.
Unfortunately, no one has let any incriminating on set BTS photos slip that may reveal what's to come in season 2. However, based on what cast members have said, it's gearing up to be a "wild" one.
Season 1 of the hit show was released in February 2019, which could signal a similar time frame for season 2. However, it's all a guessing game until Netflix come through with the release date.
