15 Facts About "The Kissing Booth" We Bet You Never Even Knew
Before the likes of To All The Boys I've Loved Before and Bird Box, The Kissing Booth was at one point “one of the most-watched movies in the country, and maybe in the world,” according to Netflix. And we're willing to bet that the sequel will be even bigger.
Pre-production on the movie is underway, and shooting is expected to start later this year. There's no confirmed release date yet, but according to reports, it's likely that the film will drop in 2020.
So far, there's no details about what could happen in the sequel. The first book was based on the WattPad novel of the same name by Beth Reekles which didn't technically have a follow up. There was, however, a companion novel called 'The Beach House' that took place during The Kissing Booth's timeline but it's not yet known if any of that will be featured in The Kissing Booth 2.
Following the release of the first movie, fans started pitching possible storylines to Reekles on Twitter about what they wanted to see next. Some wanted to explore Elle and Noah's relationship over one summer after a semester at college and some even wanted the story to be retold from Noah's perspective...
Whatever happens, The Kissing Booth 2 is 100% about to dominate our lives. NOW EVERYONE SAY, THANK YOU NETFLIX!
