Here are all the details on where 'The Circle' on Netflix is filmed and what city it's in.
The Circle is Netflix's latest reality show and literally everyone is addicted. Watching strangers battle it out for $100,000 while only communicating through a social media platform? Hello, sign us up.
Basically, each contestant lives in a separate apartment and by the end they need to become the most popular to scoop the cash prize. While it might sound easy, not everyone is who they may seem. Some of the contestants are catfishes, using other identities to portray themselves in the best light and become more popular. Trust us, it gets so intense.
It's not exactly a new concept, though. The British version started in 2018 and it has been ridiculously popular. So of course, streaming giant Netflix picked up the show and now there's a US version. France and Brazil are getting their own spin-offs in 2020 too.

The iconic apartments are the backdrop for the entire series – but where is The Circle filmed? Well, you're about to find out.
Surprisingly, The Circle isn't filmed in the US, like you would expect. While The Circle displays photos of the Chicago skyline and its iconic landmarks, The Circle creator Tim Harcourt confirmed to Oprah Mag that the reality show was actually filmed in Salford, Manchester in the UK – where its British counterpart is filmed.
The Adelphi Wharf development sits on bank of the River Irwell and is still under construction. The development is close to the University of Salford and Manchester city centre, and it comes fully kitted out too. With an underground car park and its own gym that you see in the show, would you ever leave?
All the apartments are currently fully sold out too, so if you fancied snapping up your very own Circle flat, soz.
The US series of The Circle was filmed in 2019 over a total of 15 days – only a couple of weeks before production started on the UK version.
