Did Brett leave The Oppenheim Group? Jason Oppenheim sits down with PopBuzz to tell all on his brother's departure and discuss Selling Sunset season 4.
As Selling Sunset has quickly become the biggest real-estate-meets-reality-TV shows on Netflix, our obsession with the lives of the agents behind the houses has become unparalleled.
And whether it’s Chrishell’s divorce, or Christine’s wedding, our favourites from The Oppenheim Group are ready to set the record straight on what goes on behind the scenes.
As we gear up for season 4 and what we could see in upcoming episodes, President and founder of the brokerage, Jason Oppenheim, told PopBuzz exactly what was going on with brother and business partner, Brett.

Over the last couple of weeks, rumours have been circulating the internet that their relationship had been torn apart by the show, and that Brett had left the company to set up a rival brokerage - all of which Jason says are totally untrue.
“That story isn’t quite as interesting as people like to make it out to be,” he told us exclusively.
“Brett moving was more of a semantic change, for liability purposes more than anything. He’s not starting his own brokerage, bringing on agents or competing - we still work together all the time.”
The pair took over the brokerage from five generations of family that came before them, and have worked together both-on-and-off the show ever since.
He added that there’s been no damage to their personal relationship since the shift: “We’re best friends, I was just talking to him five minutes ago. There’s no competition, none of that stuff is happening.
“I’m sure that would make for great TV, but it’s simply not the case.”

He also added that among the new projects the brokerage is taking on, Heather Rae Young’s new engagement to Tarek and unanswered questions about Davina’s rocky relationship with the group, they may even not include Brett’s new venture on the show.
“It is not the interesting story that the press hoped that it would be...That stuff gets edited out because it’s not exciting.”
