All Stars 5 may be firmly in swing but RuPaul sleeps for no one, and Drag Race Canada is launching on our TV screens very soon. July 3rd to be exact.
While RuPaul himself is taking more of a backseat role in this one, the trailer featuring our lord and saviour just dropped and we got our very first look at the judges, including new lead Brooke Lynn Hytes, the cast, and everything else we can expect from the brand new spin-off.

Well, believe it or not, RuPaul won't be involved in this one, apart from popping in with a weekly RuMail to set the main challenges. Instead, season 11 runner up Brooke Lynn Hytes is heading back to her Canadian roots to take over as lead judge of the series.
She'll be joined on a permanent basis by LGBTQ+ activist Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, and supermodel and TV personality Stacey McKenzie.
Like with other Drag Race editions, each week there will be an extra special celebrity guest judge, and so far we know of fashion designer Biddell, actress Amanda Brugel, singer Allie X and recording artist Deborah Cox making appearances throughout the show, as well as the legendary Michelle Visage.

As always, the best of the best have been hand-picked to appear on Drag Race, and the Canadians are no exception. With the usual, eclectic mix of comedy, pageant, fashion and all-round-a-little-bit-odd queens, there's some serious competition about to go down.
Queens competing on the show include:
If you're in the UK, US, or Canada, it's good news.
The show will be first aired in Canada and the US on July 2, via Bell Media's streaming platform Crave, as well as OutTV in Canada.
It'll then hit the UK the following day on July 3 when it gets shown on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer. If you're a WOW Presents subscriber, every episode will also be available to view on there.
So. Many. Options.
Speaking of the BBC Three Drag Race expansion, RuPaul said: “Canada’s Drag Race airing on BBC is further proof that self-expression, creativity and the tenacity of the human spirit resonates around the globe". We couldn't agree more - especially since we're promised the same fan-favourite challenges as the US version, including the Snatch Game, Rusicals, and more lip syncs than you can count with your hands.
The series is in 10 parts and will run across 10 consecutive weeks, so there's plenty of viewing pleasure to tide us over until the next instalment of the UK edition.
Get ready to bring it to the runway.
