‘Pose’ Fans Think That Ricky and Damon Are A Couple IRL And We Ship It

We NEED this to be true...

Pose is one of the most exciting shows of the entire year so far. The series centres around New York ball culture in the 80s and, from its witty script to its impeccable direction, it is nothing short of stunning. Not only that but it also centres on the stories of trans women and gay men of colour with actual trans women playing trans women. To make things even more exciting, trans women including Janet Mock and Our Lady J have written Pose episodes. It is groundbreaking.

That's not the only thing that has been catching viewers' attention though. One of the romances in the drama between two of the lead characters Damon (Ryan Jamaal Swain) and Ricky (Dyllón Burnside), is melting people's hearts. The on-screen relationship is so important because it is one of the first times that a network TV channel has featured a story of same sex love between two black men.

On top of that, fans think that Ryan and Dyllón are dating in real life and we are almost certain that they are right.

Yesterday Ryan posted a series of photos of him and Dyllón with the caption "Love Love".

This could, of course, just be a cute exchange between friends but there is more evidence to suggest otherwise. Suspecting that they may be together, fans commented under the piece with comments like "Awww I hope u guys are a real couple too cute", "I hope you guys are actually a couple because ya'll are too cute not to be" and "Are u guys together forreal?". One person even wrote: "bitchhhhh they’re a real couple i think & I STANNNNNN". We stan too.

If that's not enough to make you believe that they may actually be together, Ryan has liked the first three comments. In the age of the internet that is practically confirmation, right? We really hope that this is true.

To add to all of the speculation, Ryan has also tweeted "Watching Ep 2 with BAE isn’t he SO HANDSOME @dyllonburnside @RyanJamaal #POSEFX."

We know that "bae" can be used as a term of affection between friends but it MAINLY means boyfriend. Also they look like a couple in love. This cannot just be fan fiction.

Dyllón has also memed himself with the phrase "When bae is watching and you tryna show out!" in reference to a scene in which Dyllón is trying to prove himself to Ryan.

This could just be in reference to the show but is it also in reference to their relationship?

Ryan has even returned the favour with a "When you see BAE" meme that he has tagged Dyllón in.

THIS HAS TO BE TRUE?!

Then there's this Dyllón tweet which speaks for itself.

He may just be referring to getting breakfast in bed but we're pretty sure that he is referring to Ryan too.

In conclusion, Ryan and Dyllón are almost definitely a couple and we ship them with all of our hearts.
