Octavia Spencer's character in the "Ma" trailer is truly terrifying

Academy Award winning actress Octavia Spencer is known for her roles in films like The Shape of Water, Hidden Figures, and The Help. Some fans may even recognise her from a turn on The Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place as Dr. Evilina. Audiences can soon see her elsewhere as the trailer for Octavia's newest film, Ma has fans officially scared and excited to catch the talented actress in a horror role.

In MA, a group of teenagers have no idea what they're getting themselves into when they ask an older lady for help buying alcohol because they're underage.

When Ma eventually agrees, the teens are surprised that she also offers up her basement as a hang out spot for them. Though somewhat skeptical, the kids soon get excited that they now have a new place to drink without being caught.

Things are not as as innocent as they seem, though, as Ma begins stalking and terrorising the teenagers.

Between the frightening trailer and the movie's terrifying premise, people have a lot of FEELINGS about MA.

And folks are loving Octovia in a horror role.

Octavia Spencer is not known for taking on roles in the horror genre, so many are pleased to see what a great fit MA seems to be.

People are so excited for Octavia Spencer to do her thing that they're actually rooting for Ma.

It doesn't matter that Ma is the villain of the film. Fans just want Octavia Spencer to win.

The trailer for Ma has fans officially excited to see her in a completely different light. The film comes from the producers of Get Out and Happy Death Day. You can see Ma in theatres later this spring on May 31.
