Pedretti will play the role of Love Quinn, the new object of Joe's... sinister affections, in season two of the hit Netflix drama.
Looks like Penn Badgley's Joe Goldberg just found his next victim because The Haunting of Hill House's Victoria Pedretti has just been cast as the the female lead in season 2 of Netflix's You.
If you spent the last few months of 2018 screaming about the events of Netflix's incredible horror-drama series, you'll instantly recognise Pedretti as the star of all your recent nightmares. Pedretti played the role of Nell, the tragic Crain family member whose death ended up being the best episode of the entire series. (Yes, she's the Bent Neck Lady.)
Penn Badgley responded to people lusting after Joe Goldberg in Netflix's 'You'
Anyway, Pedretti will play Love Quinn, "an aspiring chef who doesn't care about social media. She's also tending to a deep grief — so when she meets Joe she senses a shared knowledge of profound loss." And judging by what we now know about Joe, things might not end well for her.
Love Quinn, who works in a high-end grocery store, will of course fill the void in Joe's life left by Beck in season one (who was murdered by Joe in the finale). GREAT NEWS FOR HER!
You season 2 will be based on Caroline Hepnes' second book - and the sequel to 'You' - called 'Hidden Bodies'. In season 2, we'll see Joe head west to California. Part of the book's synopsis reads as follows: "In Hollywood, Joe blends in effortlessly with the other young upstarts. He eats guac, works in a bookstore, and flirts with a journalist neighbor. But while others seem fixated on their own reflections, Joe can’t stop looking over his shoulder."
No doubt Love will soon find herself in some kind of dangerous situation with Joe. Don't even know her yet but PROTECT HER AT ALL COSTS!
