Lili Reinhart Wants Betty To Have More Scenes With These Characters In 'Riverdale' Season 3

Betty has been through a LOT and she deserves a change up.
After two seasons of various Black Hoods, complicated family dynamics, and young love, it's safe to say that Riverdale's Betty Cooper has truly been through it.
Season 3 may very well see Betty dive head first into the serpent underbelly as newly minted royalty, but Lili Reinhart has her own ideas about what she wants to see in the upcoming series of the popular CW show.
In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Lili revealed who she'd really like to see her character have more scenes with in season 3. As much as the family drama of season 2 showed audiences a different side of the girl-next-door, Lili would like to see the series return to friendship.
“It's something I'm very much pushing for, that you do see the kids interact more as a group."
In particular, Lili tells Harper's Bazaar that she is keen to see Betty do more scenes with Camila Mendes and Casey Cott's characters (Veronica and Kevin).
The darkness and intrigue of Riverdale is what sets it apart from your run-of-the mill CW teen drama, but it would be fun to see the gang back together to do and talk about things that aren't murder!
If Betty, Veronica, and Kevin get more friendship screen time, we're sure to have more incredible lines like "Betty's ponytail is iconic and beyond reproach."
Lili also said in the interview that her working relationship with showrunner, Roberto Aguirre Sacasa is "very collaborative" and that they have been known to text about Betty. Lets hope RAS does include more friendship moments in season 3. We love a bit of Bughead, but we're also dying to see more "teen friendship" moments from Betty, Veronica, and Kevin.
Riverdale returns to the CW October 10.
