If you know a '90s kid who grew up in the golden age of Brad and Jen, check in and see how they're doing today.
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt both won big at the SAG Awards last night (19 Jan) but it's the internet who appear to be truly reaping the rewards of their fleeting, friendly backstage reunion – and the memes are, as you can probably imagine, out of control.
Jen won the SAG award for Female Actor in a Drama series for her phenomenal performance as Alex Levy in The Morning Show and Brad won Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his part as Cliff Booth in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time...in Hollywood.

Jen watched on as Brad accepted his award but it was the backstage video of Brad watching Jen's win that sent the internet into full panic mode. And then the pictures of the two of them (the first in more than a decade) congratulating each other arrived...and it was a wrap. Fanfic mode was initiated and the memes were deployed.
There's probably a lot to be said about the reaction to their reunion (Should we really care? Isn't it time we stopped projecting onto these two?), but at the end of the day, it's just really really nice to see two people who used to be married to each other now both enjoying one of the best years of their respective careers, and celebrating that together with a friendly embrace. You really do love to see it.

Both Brad and Jen have spoken about the reaction to their reunion over the course of this year's award season. At the Golden Globes, Brad called Jen a "good friend" and last night, when Jen was asked about all the hype and hysteria around the two of them, she told ET, "It's hysterical, but what else are they going to talk about?"
We are all moving with this positive energy in 2020. And congrats to Brad and Jen on their deserved wins!
