4. Where is Dua Saleh from?
Dua Saleh is of Sudanese-American nationality. They were born in Kassala, Sudan and fled to the US as refugees during the Second Sudanese Civil War in the 1990s. Dua grew up in Saint Paul, Minnesota. They went to Saint Paul Central High School and later studied gender, women’s and sexuality studies and sociology at Augsburg University. Dua is Muslim but not in a religious sense.
