The Umbrella Academy star David Castañeda was on 'Jane The Virgin' in season one

David Castañeda plays Diego on The Umbrella Academy but fans might also recognise him from CW's Jane The Virgin.

The talented cast of Netflix's The Umbrella Academy wowed viewers as the 7 super charged siblings. Ellen Page, Aidan Gallagher, and Robert Sheehan were brilliant as Vanya, Number 5, and Klaus, respectively. David Castañeda was also impressive as the knife wielding Diego. Castañeda has appeared in other shows like Lie To Me and Switched At Birth. However, fans of CW's Jane The Virgin should recognise him from the show's first season.

Back in season one of Jane The Virgin, David Castañeda appeared in three episodes as Rogelio De La Vega's on set assistant, Nicholas.

David Castañeda was in season one episode 5, 11, and 12. Though the character seemed eager and accommodating, Nicholas was actually an aspiring actor plotting against Rogelio on The Passions Of Santos. Eventually, he is able convince Gina to write Rogelio off of the show. We love a spicy Jane three episode arc.

Castañeda sported a way different look back then. His hair was longer, for starters!

Now, a series regular on The Umbrella Academy, we're obsessed with Castañeda as Number 2 (and those incredible knife skills.)
