Warning: BIG Avengers: Endgame spoilers ahead.
What was Stan Lee's Avengers: Endgame cameo?
Stan Lee has a fitting final cameo in Avengers:Endgame.
When Tony Stark and Steve Rogers travel back to 1970, the scene opens with a white car that drives past the military base. Stan Lee's character, who has been de-aged (and is rocking an incredible salt and pepper moustache) drives the vehicle and shouts "hey man, make love, not war!" as he whizzes by.
On his car is a bumper sticker that reads:"nuff said", a phrase Stan Lee was known to use from time to time. Spider-Man fans will know that he uttered that particular phrase in Spider-Man 3 back in 2007.
Speaking to Radio Times, Avengers: Endgame co-director, Joe Russo, said: “obviously it was exceedingly sad that this cameo was his final appearance, but I do think what was shot was very fitting.”
Marvel fans have looked forward to Stan Lee's cameos for years. Though "exceedingly sad", his final appearance pays perfect tribute to the icon's Marvel legacy.
