American Horror Story season 9 (AHS: 1984) returns on September 18th - without Evan Peters. Here is every confirmed season 9 cast member so far.
AHS: 1984 will see several new faces join the cast, with very few past season cast members returning. Emma Roberts will lead this season, alongside Billie Lourd and Cody Fern. Evan Peters will not be part of this season, revealing earlier this year that he would be “sitting this season out.” Sarah Paulson will not be starring in a main role either, but she may have a small appearance later in the season. Emma Roberts (who previously appeared in Coven, Freak Show, Cult and Apocalypse) will be playing the lead role of Brooke, one of the young adults who comes to Camp Redwood for the summer. It’s revealed in the trailer that she was once attacked by a serial killer who climbed through her bedroom window and doesn't respond well when she hears Camp Redwood was the site of a huge massacre. DeRon plays Ray, another friend that Xavier brings to Camp Redwood for the summer. This is DeRon’s first season of American Horror Story, and you’ll probably recognise him as Lionel on Netflix’s Dear White People. (Gabriel Olsen/FilmMagic)
Gus plays the role of Chet, an athlete who was disqualified from the Olympics. According to Ryan Murphy, Chet is set to be the boyfriend of Emma Roberts' character Brooke. Angelica Ross joins the cast for her first season as Rita, a nurse at Camp Redwood who spills all the tea about the worst summer massacre that took place on this very camp site. (Taylor Hill/Getty Images)
Leslie plays Margaret Booth. Margaret is in charge of Camp Redwood and reopened the site 14 years after a deadly summer massacre. in the first episodes, it's revealed that she was one of the victims of Mr Jingles' attack but managed to survive by playing dead. Glee's Matthew Morrison will play Trevor Kirchner. Trevor is the camp's activities director. It's also revealed that he was once in Jane Fonda's work out video but was removed due to his large penis (yes, really.) He strikes up a sexual relationship with Montana in the first episode. After previously playing Twisty the Clown in AHS, John Carroll Lynch returns to the series as Benjamin Richter. Benjamin is also known as Mr Jingles, a killer who was the reason for the Camp Redwood massacre in 1970. Zach Villa is playing Richard Ramirez, a real life serial killer who broke into people’s homes in Los Angeles and attacked them. He was also reportedly a Satanist and was often referred to as the ‘Night Stalker’ by the media. Ramirez also makes an appearance at Devil’s Night on AHS: Hotel, played by Anthony Ruivivar. The Young and the Restless and ER actress Yvonne plays the role of Red, the woman who visits Richard Ramirez in prison and tells him about the Camp Redwood music festival. She appears in episode 6. (JB Lacroix/WireImage)
OG Horror Story cast member Lily joins the cast as the mother of Benjamin (Mr Jingles) also known as The Lady In White. Following the death of her other son at the camp formerly known as ‘Camp Golden Star’ in 1948, she ends up haunting the grounds and terrorising the other ghosts that live there.
Dylan returns for another season of American Horror Story as Bruce, a suspicious guy who meets Donna and Brooke at a roller skating rink before hitchhiking with them to Camp Redwood.
Fan favourite Finn Wittrock (Freak Show, Hotel, Roanoke) made his grand return in the final episode of 1984 as Bobby Richter, the grown up son of Benjamin aka Mr Jingles. Bobby arrives at Camp Redwood to look for his dad.
