Elle has to choose between Noah and Marco in The Kissing Booth 2 and her decision is upsetting people.

The Kissing Booth 2 is finally here and viewers are loving it but the ending in which Elle chooses who to date is splitting fans.

The Kissing Booth 2 picks up right where the first movie leaves off. In the hit Netflix sequel, Elle (Joey King) and Noah (Jacob Elordi) try out long-distance dating as Noah moves to study at Harvard. It starts out well but trust issues develop when Noah befriends a girl named Chloe (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Elle grows close with a boy called Marco (Taylor Zakhar-Perez).

Throughout The Kissing Booth 2, it's unclear if Elle will end up with Noah or Marco and her decision is proving controversial.

How does The Kissing Booth 2 end? Do Elle and Noah break up? - SPOILERS AHEAD

In The Kissing Booth 2, Elle grows increasingly worried that Noah's cheating on her after she visits him at Harvard, meets his new friend Chloe and finds one of Chloe's earrings under his bed. At the same time, Elle develops feelings for Marco, who's volunteered to take part in a dance competition with her so that she can win money to afford to go to her dream university.

Assuming that Noah and Chloe are sleeping together, Elle kisses Marco when they win their dance competition not knowing that Noah has come to watch to surprise her. Hurt, Noah stops speaking to Elle and it looks like Elle might end things with him and date Marco. However, when Marco professes his love for Elle, Elle says she loves Noah and can't date him.

Noah then realises why Elle thought he was cheating and they go to meet each other to talk things through. Elle apologises for kissing Marco and Noah apologises for his lack of communication. The two romantically kiss. The movie ends with Elle finding out she got into both Harvard where she can study with Noah and Berkely where she can study with Lee.

It remains unclear which uni she'll go to but it's safe to say that her decision to date Noah over Marco has divided viewers. One person wrote: "marco is hot as fuck and i’d choose him over noah’s boring ass." Another added: "watched kissing booth 2 and i think we all can agree that marco...deserves better." and "Can I have u instead?"

While Noah does still have some supporters, it's clear that Marco has won over many viewers. With The Kissing Booth 3 still to come, it's possible that Elle and Marco could still end up together. We will have to wait and see.
