*Another* season of Penn Badgley as the problematic Joe Goldberg? We're ready tbh.

Season two of Netflix's brilliant new series You hasn't even aired yet and there's already talk of season three. Yes, you heard that correctly... there *could* be another season of the creepy drama coming soon, if the series co-creator Sera Gamble has her way.

The series, starring Penn Badgley, has taken the internet by storm ever since it dropped on Netflix in December and in case you didn't know, it has already been renewed for season 2. The series was originally picked up for season 2 by Lifetime (where it first aired in September 2018) but will now appear exclusively on Netflix. There's no release date yet but shooting is set to begin soon.

And now, thanks to an interview with Cosmopolitan, Gamble has revealed that she's already got plans for might lie ahead for Joe Goldberg and his... victims... in a potential third season of the show. Whew!

For those not in the know, You is based on Caroline Kepnes' two-novel series, and Hidden Bodies is the follow-up to You. In the second book, which the second season will be based on, Joe heads west to California. Part of the book's synopsis reads as follows: "In Hollywood, Joe blends in effortlessly with the other young upstarts. He eats guac, works in a bookstore, and flirts with a journalist neighbor. But while others seem fixated on their own reflections, Joe can’t stop looking over his shoulder."

Sounds... sinister, huh? But just when you thought Joe might finally get what he deserves at the end of season two, it's starting to look like he's gonna get away with it (again)... because Gamble already has an idea for season 3 and it sounds promising.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan, Gamble said: "Absolutely it could come back for season three. First of all, it's up to the powers that be. We hope that a lot of people will watch the show and that it gets to continue."

"I will say that we have an idea for season three that is SO exciting that people talk about it in the [writer's] room everyday. So my fingers are crossed... I'll just say, I hope we get the chance to keep making the show."
