Panic over – 'The Office' is staying on Netflix.

A new report from The Wall Street Journal revealed that Netflix might be losing The Office and everyone went into meltdown. According to data from 2018, The Office is the most-streamed show on the platform. So naturally, the TV Gods want to rip away our only source of joy.

Basically, NBCUniversal might be launching its own rival streaming service. And because The Office belongs to NBC, they've had "discussions" about pulling it off of Netflix once its licensing contract is up in 2021.

Now if y'all remember, Friends almost suffered a similar fate last year. The cult sitcom nearly got the chop until Netflix users intervened – and they were having none of it. The streaming service had to spend $100 million to keep it for another year. Money well spent, if you ask us...

The Office has a VERY loyal fanbase and naturally they were devastated by the news that it could all be wiped away.

Well, crisis has been averted. Netflix have confirmed The Office is safe and sound on the platform until 2021 and, fingers crossed, maybe even beyond that.

"Hello it's me with your regularly scheduled reminder that The Office will be on Netflix until 2021 – at least!" a tweet from Netflix's Twitter account read.

Phew, we've got another two years of The Office guys. Now time to watch Kevin Malone spill his homemade chilli all over the carpet for the 200th time.
