RuPaul's Drag Race UK halts production of season 2 amid coronavirus outbreak

Season 2 of RuPaul's Drag Race UK is on hold, for now…
Ladies, start stop your engines. RuPaul's Drag Race UK is the latest show that has halted production because of the coronavirus outbreak.
The hit series debuted in 2019, with The Vivienne being crowned the first winner of RuPaul's Drag Race UK. It was such a hit, in fact, that a second season was commissioned soon after Season 1 ended. Season 2 was expected to premiere in 2020.

A BBC spokesman has now confirmed that RuPaul's Drag Race UK would be put on pause for now, however, it definitely isn't cancelled.
In a statement to Digital Spy, they said: "In light of the spread of Covid-19, after much consideration, production on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK will be temporarily pausing filming both in consultation with and supported by the BBC.
"We will continue to review all productions on a case by case basis and will continue to follow the latest news and advice from the Foreign Office, World Health Organisation and Public Health England."
RuPaul's Drag Race UK isn't the only show that has decided to halt production, though. Riverdale, Grey's Anatomy and Russian Doll have all decided to take time off to protect their staff members. Meanwhile, movies like Black Widow, A Quiet Place Part 2 and Disney's Mulan live-action remake have pushed back their release dates.
