In Riverdale's highly-anticipated parent flash back episode, the main cast will be playing their parents when they were students at Riverdale High. From Lili Reinhart playing young Alice Cooper to Cole Sprouse playing young FP Jones, here's a side by side look:
For her role as young Alice in the flashback episode, Lili Reinhart took inspiration from Twin Peaks to play teenage Mädchen Amick. From the hair, all the way down to the lip liner (Mac Spice, if you're wondering), it's safe to say that the Riverdale casting department hit the jackpot when they cast these two as mother and daughter.
Young Skeet Ulrich is SO iconic, it's almost scary how Cole Sprouse manages to accurately pull it off. Complete with Billy Loomis' signature hair strands and white t-shirt, Cole effortlessly channels young FP Jones - and the sight of him in that Riverdale High Letterman jacket? WHEW!
Of course, if you're old enough to remember, you'll be very familiar with young Luke Perry as Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills 90210 but if you don't, it's fine... because all you need to look at is KJ Apa in this episode and you'll get the gist. Not only did KJ dye his hair for the episode, he nailed Luke's mannerisms to perfection. In fact, it's such a good impersonation, if I was Luke Perry I would sue for identity theft.
From ultra chic Veronica Lodge to catholic school girl Hermione Gomez, Camila Mendes nails her turn as young Marisol Nichols. Channeling a little slice of Dawnie from Scream 2, Camila is serving you a VERY different future Mrs Lodge in this flashback episode and she NAILS it.
Yes, that is the real life son of Mark Consuelos playing the younger version of Hiram Lodge. This is Michael Consuelos' very first on-screen role and judging by what we've seen so far - he's absolutely brilliant and plays young Hiram to a tee. Hanging around his dad for 20 years must've helped, huh?
The usually glam Madelaine had to go full denim and big glasses to portray her mother Penelope Blossom in the flashback episode. But when it comes to channelling a young Nathalie Boltt... she kinda has it in the bag, don't you think?
Just when you thought the parent/child casting on this show couldn't get any better... Here's Ashleigh Murray looking EXACTLY like young Robin Givens from 1986 in promo pictures for the ABC show 'Head of the Class'. Honestly? I'm shaking. They're identical.
Seeing Casey Cott play anyone other than the beloved Kevin Keller is a little odd but he's so good at playing young Tom Keller, we kinda want him to do it all the time. And as for how much he looks like a young Martin Cummins? It's a yes from me.
