The ITV show's 2012 panel are said to be looking for pay increases while negotiating their returns.

The rumoured judging panel line-up for this year's The X Factor UK judging panel are reportedly seeking combined wages of around six million to return for the 2013 series.

Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh are both expected to return for this year's series of the ITV series, as is 2012 new addition Nicole Scherzinger, with all of this year's panel rumoured to be looking for seven figure return deals.

Tulisa Contostavlos' future on The X Factor UK is in doubt after widespread reports she is set to be axed in favour of bringing Sharon Osbourne back for another run on the show.

According to fresh reports, Sharon is looking for a pay-packet of between £1.5 million and £2 million to sign on the dotted line, while Take That frontman Garry wants to raise his own salary from £1.5 million.

'Boomerang' singer Nicole is also rumoured to be looking to increase her alleged 2012 pay of £750,000 to around £1.5 million for this year's series, while Louis Walsh will be looking for a £1 million deal to come back.

"Producers know it will cost significantly more than last year," a source told The Sun. "We know returning judges cost more. It's what happens if you negotiate every series."

The X Factor UK producers have yet to comment on any decisions about judging panel line-ups or salaries and have simply said that "no formal decisions" have been made regarding the 2013 series.
