JLS Aston Unveils Home Town Tattoo

The 'One Shot' singer has had Peterborough Cathedral tattooed on his arm as a tribute to where he grew up.

JLS member Aston Merrygold has revealed a new tattoo done in tribute to his home cityof Peterborough.

The ‘Take A Chance On Me’ singer had the city’s gothic cathedral inked onto his right forearm and claims it reminds him of where he comes from.

“I am only getting tattoos that have a meaning – and I was thinking about what I could design to show where I am from,” Aston told the Evening Telegraph. “I may live away but I’m always going to be the lad from Peterborough.”

Aston’s dad Oz, from West Town in Peterborough, said he was proud of his son for getting the body art.

“He has got a lot of tattoos and me and his mum are very happy he’s got one about Peterborough,” he added. “He is proud to be from Peterborough.”

JLS released their third studio album ‘Jukebox’ last week (14th November) which enterted at number two on the UK Album Chart.
