The pair star in a promo video for the awards which sees Eds cute persona go head-to-head with Ruby's badass image - and it's definitely going to be a show not to be missed!

The 'Thinking Out Loud' star took to Twitter last week to confirm the news, posting a snap on Instagram of him holding up one of the show's iconic gongs.

“So happy to say I’m hosting the #MTVEMAs on 25th October! Cannot wait,” Ed tweeted to confirm the news. “And I’ve got a co-host for the #MTVEMAs… stay tuned to find out who.”

Then later on it was revealed that it would be Hollywood star Ruby Rose joining Ed as co-host this year, the actress who is best known for her role on season two of Orange Is The New Black.

The MTV EMAs 2015 nominations were revealed recently and it looks like Taylor Swift could well be the queen of the awards ceremony this year!

The ‘Shake It Off’ star has picked up a total of NINE nominations overall this year for the Europe Music Awards - across categories like Best Video and Best Collaboration for ‘Bad Blood’.

Justin Bieber is flying the flag for the guys though as well - with six nods in total - thanks to the launch of his single ‘What Do You Mean?’ as well as nominations in categories like Best Fans and Best Look.

This year the MTV EMAs 2015 take place in Milan on Sunday 25th October, with voting open on all categories right now.
