The R&B star's new release triumphs as Adele is knocked outside thetop ten for the first time in her 79-week reign.

Trey Songz has scored his first ever number one on the Billboard 200 chart with his new album 'Chapter V'.

The R&B singer has bettered the No.2 spot achieved with 'Passion, Pain & Pleasure' in 2010 with his latest release selling 135,000 copies in its first week.

Also new to the charts was Owl City's fourth album, 'The Midsummer Station', which reached No.7 on the Billboard 200.

The 'Fireflies' star has recently collaborated with Canadian 'Call Me Maybe' singer Carle Rae Jepsen on the track 'Good Time'.

Their collaborative track also did well on the Billboard Hot 100 - reaching number nine.

This week’s chart is also the first without Adele in the top ten for over a year.

Adele's multi-platinum release '21' has fallen out of the top ten for the first time in 79 weeks as it fell to No.12.

The Grammy Award winning superstar has also recently been in the news due to rumours surrounding a secret marriage with boyfriend Simon Konecki ahead of the expected birth of her first child next month.
