The Wanted Seeking Number One With New Album 'Battleground'

The 'Warzone' stars speak to Capital FM about their fantastic second album.

The Wanted are seeking the number one spot on the album chart with their new album 'Battleground'.

The boy band's second LP, which features their new single 'Warzone', is released today (7th November).

Speaking to Capital FM, the group said they were ecstatic with the positive response from fans who had already heard tracks from the new album.

"The reviews have been so good that we couldn't have done any more," said Tom Parker. "We sat there and we crafted it, and we wrote it ourselves. It came from all of us."

Jay McGuiness said that the group were aiming to top the charts with the album.

"It's the last thing we've got to tick off the list," he added.

'Battleground', which is the follow-up to the band's self-titled debut LP, includes their previous singles 'Glad You Came' and 'Lightning'.

The album also features the track 'Gold Forever', which was originally released as the official 2011 Comic Relief single.
