The 'Boomerang' singer says she was unsure about returning because of her solo career.

Nicole Scherzinger has revealed she almost turned down a return to The X Factor UK to concentrate fully on her music, before being convinced otherwise by Gary Barlow.

The 'Try With Me' singer joined fellow judges Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow, as well as the returning Sharon Osbourne on the 2013 panel of the show, but says she struggled with the decision.

"I wasn't sure," Nicole admits in a new interview with The Sun this week. 'I've got to get the music right.

"I'm an artist and I haven't felt confident enough with the stuff I'm doing," Nicole explained. "I haven't felt like I've got enough of a cohesive album that I'm proud of to put out.

"This takes up a lot of time, you know, and I always commit myself 110 per cent.

"So I was torn, but then Gaz texted me and I said, 'Yes'," Nicole added. "Fortunately I love the people here an they give so much love back."
