Nicole Scherzinger makes US X Factor debut

Nicole Scherzinger has made her debut as a judge on the US version of The X Factor.

The Capital Summertime Ball star was given a standing ovation during her first stint at the auditions in New York and New Jersey.

Nicole, who was set to present the show before Cheryl Cole was dropped, wore a green strapless dress as she sat alongside fellow judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and L.A. Reid.

She also posted pictures on Twitter of herself and said: 'I'm truly grateful and excited to be judging.'

Nicole officially replaced Cheryl as a judge on the show earlier this week.

The former Pussycat Doll is due to hit the stage at Capital's Summertime Ball on Sunday (June 12th).
