Cher Lloyd: My Grandma Paid For My Music Career

The 'With Ur Love' singer has revealed that her Grandma used to help fund her music career.

Cher said that before she found fame on The X Factor she honed her singing voice in people's houses and used to play gigs in bizarre locations.

"I used to go to these low-rent recording studios in people’s houses," she said.

"My nan would pay the money for me to record songs. I was singing Hopelessly Devoted To You at one point! It’s what I used to do."

Speaking to Attitude magazine, Cher said one of her most bizarre gigs was in a British Legion club when she was a teenager.

"There would be about 10 people and I swear they couldn’t hear a thing that I was singing because their hearing aids were turned off," she said.

The latest issue of Attitude magazine is out now.
