The 'Rolling In The Deep' singer reaches the landmark just eleven months after album was release.
Adele has become the first artist to sell more than one million copies of a single album on the European iTunes store.
The singer's second album '21' passed the landmark just 11 months after it was released.
Independent music analyst Mark Mulligan said Adele's strong sales success was "positive news for the music industry".
However, he added to the Daily Telegraph, that "mass buying of digital albums is swimming against the tide and is getting rarer.
"Most people now like consuming music as singles and a growing number either stream songs or watch the videos on YouTube. Fewer and fewer people download entire albums to own."
He added: "Downloading albums to own is becoming a less and less important part of how fans and artists interact."
'21' was enjoyed huge success across the world this year, including in America where it has already became the biggest-selling digital album in US history.
The album is the follow-up to the London singer's debut effort, '19'.
Meanwhile, Adele has revealed that her recent throat operation was a success and that she is on track to make a full recovery.
