Adele: "Throat Operation Was A Success"

The 'Rolling in the Deep' singer says she is "on the mend" after the vocal surgery which led to her 2011 tour cancellation.

Adele has confirmed she is on the mend following successful throat surgery last week to repair damage to her vocal chords.

The 'Someone Like You' singer underwent laser microsurgery in America last week, leading to the cancellation of all remaining 2011 US and UK tour dates, and has thanked fans for wishing her a speedy recovery.

"Thank you for all your positive thoughts and get well wishes," Adele posted on her official blog. "I'm doing really well, on the mend, super happy, relaxed and very positive with it all.

"The operation was a success and I'm just chilling out now until I get the all clear from my doctors."

Adele also commented on her recent awards victories, which include a win for Best Pop Video at the UK Music Video Awards last week, and called the support "hugely appreciated".

She added: "I best get back to practicing my mine show now."

The 'Set Fire To The Rain' singer released a trailer promoting her new DVD 'Live At The Royal Albert Hall' last week ahead its release on 21st November.
