Adam Lambert Praises Lady Gaga's Sound: "She's So Clever"

4 July 2012, 11:42

The former American Idol star reveals that his debut album will have a retro disco feel.

Adam Lambert has heaped the praise onto Lady Gaga for her ability to turn a retro sound into something more modern.

The 'Never Close Our Eyes' singer told the Daily Star that while his debut album 'Trespassing' is a dance record, it equally has a retro feel.

"My album is dance music, but it's a different breed of dance than the mainstream right now," he admitted. "It's not Eurodance but more retro and disco.

"We dressed it up in a modern way and made it sound current as I love when pop music references things. That's the post-modern age we're living in.

He continued: "The thing I love about Lady Gaga is she's so clever at doing that, putting it in a blender and making it her own. It takes a lot of talent to achieve that."

Meanwhile, Adam will be joining Capitalfm.com for an exclusive webchat this coming Monday (9th July).

The star will release his new album 'Trespassing' in the UK on the same day.
