The 'What Makes You Beautiful' singer says today is a "special" day for him getting to perform live near his hometown.

One Direction's Niall Horan says the final night of the band's 'Up All Night' tour is particularly special for him because it is in his home country.

The 'Gotta Be You' singers will wrap their first headlining tour of the UK tonight (24th January) with a performance at the O2 in Dublin, Ireland, while Niall was raised in nearby Millingar in County Westmeath.

"IRELAND we are coming… been waiting for this day all my life!" Niall tweeted last night (23rd January). "I cannot wait! Lets pull the roof off the O2 tomorrow night!"

Niall added this morning: "Today is a very special day for me! I literally cannot wait! #1DinDublin."

Band member Liam Payne recently admitted the five-piece will miss being on tour and would love to perform worldwide.

One Direction unveiled the music video for their new single 'One Thing' last week (13th January).
