18 January 2012, 21:19

The 'One Thing' stars claim a busy touring schedule is restricting their social communication with their followers.

One Direction star Liam Payne has told the band's fans that he is sorry if the boy band have appeared "distant" recently.

Earlier today (18th January), he took to his Twitter account to tell the group's followers that a busy touring programme has been the reason for their lack of contact.

"Hey everyone sorry we have all been so distant really really busy on tour," he tweeted.

The band are currently in the middle of their UK and Ireland tour which rolled into Blackpool earlier this evening (18th January) and will finish in Dublin on 24th January.

Meanwhile, One Direction recently unveiled the music video for their new single 'One Thing' which includes a scene mimicking The Inbetweeners Movie.
