The 'Who You Are' singer says she wanted to make sure fans had a "bigger" and "better" show when she starts the tour.

Jessie J has further explained her decision to delay her 2013 UK arena tour last week and has urged fans to remember that "art cannot be rushed".

The 'Domino' star announced last week that her 17-date jaunt across the UK, originally scheduled for March next year, has now been moved to October 2013 to give her more time to work on her second studio album.

"I could do my UK tour in Feb but my album will not be out beforehand so if I did new songs you wouldn't know them," Jessie tweeted this afternoon (17th December) to explain the delay. "I have personally moved it back to make sure you ALL get a BIGGER and BETTER show and will know the music I'm performing.

"My album is not finished and I am giving myself more time to finish it," Jessie explained. "I understand some of you are disappointed as am I."

Jessie added: "Music and art cannot be rushed. I promise it will be worth the wait. Thank you for supporting me."
