The 'Call Me Maybe' star tells Capitalfm.com that she is trying her best to meet the Grammy Award winning artist.

Carly Rae Jepsen has revealed that her dream collaboration would be with pop-blues star John Mayer.

The Canadian singer told Capitalfm.com that she is a big fan of the star responsible for the hits 'Your Body Is A Wonderland' and 'Waiting On The World To Change'.

She revealed: "My dream collaboration is actually a duet with John Mayer."

The American has currently suspended touring duties and live performances due to a throat illness and the 'Call Me Maybe' star admitted she would team up regardless. "I would do a duet with him anyways – he's dreamy."

When asked if she has had the opportunity to meet the star yet, she explained she was doing all she can to ensure an introduction could take place at some point.

"No, I'm doing my best though. In every interview I'm mentioning wanting to do a duet with him – I'm hoping that will eventually lead me to John Mayer," she confessed.

The current Vodafone Big Top 40 number one star also opened up on her collaboration with Justin Bieber calling it a "really chilled song" and it happened on the very first day they met.
