The 'Crazy In Love' singe's choice of attire has not gone down well with the animal rights activist group.

Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show performance outfit has been criticised by PETA who said the singer "missed the mark" on her choice of attire.

The 'Love On Top' singer wore a black leather corset dress which incorporated python and iguana skin for her standout set at the NFL event on Sunday night (3rd February).

"We would take a bet that if Beyonce watched our video exposes... she'd probably not want to be seen again in anything made of snakes, lizards, rabbits, or other animals who died painfully," PETA told E! Online.

The campaign group also slammed the 'Countdown' singer for not following the current fashion trends – which lean towards more "humane" options.

They added: "Today's fashions are trending toward humane vegan options, and Beyonce's Super Bowl outfit missed the mark on that score."

During her show at the Super Bowl, the female star was also joined by her Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams for a medley of the trio's biggest hits.

It was revealed this week that sales of Beyonce's solo work and the group's back catalogue have had huge sales boosts thanks to the show.

The 'End Of Time' singer is also currently preparing for the release of her new album this year and announced her 2013 world tour this week.
