Beyonce has revealed that she was feeling "so proud" after her Super Bowl halftime show performance and said the entire event was "a great night to be a woman".
The 'Love On Top' singer took to the stage for a standout performance at the NFL event on Sunday night (3rd February) where she was joined by her Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
The female star spoke to Extra after her performance and said the long months of preparation had been worth it.
"I'm feeling so proud, it was a really beautiful day and I'm very happy for Ray [Lewis]," she said. "All the hard work, five months of preparation and it was really great."
The 'Crazy In Love' singer said that she was thrilled to share the entire day with fellow female singers Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson – who both performed before kick-off.
"It really was a magnificent night for me and the girls," she said. "I felt like Alicia and Jennifer Hudson were so classy and beautiful. It was a great night to be a woman and an African-American woman."
It has also been revealed that the halftime show helped pull in 108 million viewers to the event – making it the third most watched TV show of all time.
