The 'Rolling In The Deep' star will make a public appearance to pick up the prestigious honour.

Adele is set to make an appearance at Buckingham Palace this week to accept her MBE honour from the Royal Family.

Back in June this year it was announced that the 'Someone Like You' singer would receive the award as part of the Queen's Birthday Honour List to mark her official 87th birthday.

Adele is expected to appear in person at Buckingham Palace on Thursday (19th December), where she will be presented with the Most Excellent Order to the British Empire honour, being officially known as Miss Adele Adkins MBE.

Adele welcomed her son Angelo back in October 2012 with her third studio album expected to be announced in 2014.
