Rihanna's 'Take a Bow' has become a meme and it's iconic

Some of our most loved memes have come from our musical faves. Lil Nas X's entire career spring-boarded from the popularity of 'Old Town Road' on TikTok, creating the viral 'Yeehaw' challenge. And then there was Kylie Jenner's Rise and Shine following a popular clip of her singing. Now it’s Rihanna's classic hit 'Take a Bow' that is getting the shine it truly deserves.

The song might have been released back in 2008 but the internet still hasn't forgotten that it's a timeless bop. 'Take a Bow' came from the reissue of her third studio album, Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded.

Now, we know that the entire song is iconic but the meme has been created from one particular part of the chorus. Rihanna gave us hits, Fenty Beauty and the latest viral meme. "That was quite a show/Very entertaining," Rihanna sings, staring down the camera lens.

Apparently, Junkee reports the meme was created by Twitter user @g0ld3nretriever, who was feeling the pressure to watch HBO's new show, Succession.

That was it, the internet got hold of the clip and started using it to represent all the times they’ve lied about loving something that they actually hated.
