Jeffree Star also opened up about his feud with Too Faced CEO Jeremy Johnson in 'The Secrets of the Beauty World'.
The second episode of Shane Dawson's nine-part documentary with Jeffree Star dropped on Friday (4 Oct) and of course, the tea was piping hot. In the video, we discovered the shade names from Shane and Jeffree's upcoming Conspiracy palette. We also found out that Jeffree made $20 million from just one palette. However, the episode also resurfaced some old YouTube drama between Jeffree Star and the CEO of makeup brand Too Faced Jeremy Johnson, as well as Nikkie de Jager's (known as Nikkie Tutorials) collaboration with Too Faced. Now she's addressed it all on Twitter.

In case you didn't know, Nikkie collaborated with makeup brand Too Faced on a palette in 2016. The $56 palette included eyeshadow, blush, bronzer and a highlighter. However, after she revealed the product on her YouTube channel and it was released, fans noticed that the palette wasn't as good quality as when Nikkie gave a preview of it on her YouTube channel.
Shortly after in 2017, Jeffree got involved in a public feud with TooFaced CEO Jeremy Johnson. The pair argued about the origins of the popular unicorn makeup trend and Jeremy called Jeffree's brand "clown makeup". So, Star clapped back and revealed that Jeremy had underpaid Nikkie.
Well, as you know, YouTube drama never dies and Jeffree brought up the spat on The Secrets of the Beauty World. Shane and Jeffree were discussing how to divide earnings from their makeup collaboration, and it was decided that Shane would get 25-30%, which could make him $5 million. And for Shane's merch, he would get a 70% cut, which means he would make $14 on a $20 shirt.
Shane was shocked that he could make that much money and Jeffree went on to explain how other YouTubers had been seriously underpaid by makeup brands have in the past, including Nikkie. Jeffree claimed that Nikkie was paid $50,000 for her Too Faced palette – but the brand sold over $10 million of products.

He said: "I've seen YouTubers and other influencers take dirt because they didn't know."
He added: "When she told me, I was so horrified. And when I kind of let that secret out it turned really ugly."

The fact that some influencers charge more for a 2 min promo than @NikkieTutorials made on a whole ass eyeshadow palette is robbery

Too Faced only paid @NikkieTutorials $50,000 for her palette while they get $5,000,000 from the sales. CANCELLED. #BoycottTooFaced

Wow. @TooFaced, if that is true, y’all did @NikkieTutorials wrong. And I don’t believe for a minute you didn’t know you were doing her wrong. Just wow.

Nikkie responded to the rumours about her fee for her Too Faced collaboration on Twitter on Saturday (5 Oct) and confirmed what Jeffree said was true. She also said she was "naive" for signing the contract but there was actually even more drama than we originally thought.
"I signed my contract with TF back then because I was naive & didn't know better," she tweeted. "At the end of the day, I signed it, it's my own fault – but what I'll never forgive is that 'allegedly' they changed the palette's quality behind my back. 1000's of negative reviews & I was clueless."
She added: "I had to see all these negative reviews, while the palettes I had were outstanding. 'they lying in their videos to get views' is what I was told. I don't care about the money.. but I had to fight YEARS to prove my authenticity and gain your trust again.
"now, this situation is in the past. it was the biggest lesson I ever had to learn, but I’m glad it brought me so much knowledge. I am thankful to OFRA Cosmetics for showing me how it SHOULD be done! Glow babies, the future is bright, I have exciting things happening soon!
