James Charles says an Uber driver threatened to hit him

"One of your drivers just called my employee & I dumbasses, bitches & threatened to hit us."

James Charles has revealed that he was threatened by an Uber driver in Orlando, Florida, while on his way to the Playlist Live festival. The festival allows fans to meet their favourite TikTok creators and YouTubers, and James was there for a live Q&A and to sell his Sisters Apparel merch.

James was with an employee during the incident, which he detailed on Twitter on Thursday (Feb 28). He tweeted: "@Uber@Uber_Support hi! one of your drivers in Orlando just called my employee & I dumbasses, bitches & threatened to hit us. Please contact me as soon as possible."

Naturally, James' fans were incredibly worried about him, especially after he tweeted about being harshly trolled last week. "Wtf thats so unprofessional and rude! you don’t deserve that," one fan tweeted. Another added: "James wtf i’m so sorry. unprofessional and gross. i hope u all were able to leave and find safer transport :(. this is why i don’t trust Uber [sic]."

Uber responded to James' allegations and insisted they would help with the issue. They replied: "We take this very seriously. Please send us a DM with your email address and phone number so we can connect ASAP."

James has not yet commented on if the issue was resolved, but he appeared to be in good spirits over the weekend, sharing an Instagram Story from Playlist Live festival saying he had "so much fun" there.

On Twitter, he also revealed that he had the opportunity to sign someone's boobs at the festival. He said: "I just signed a girls boobs... never thought this day would come."
