James Charles calls out fake dating app messages posted by trolls

James Charles has slammed people who post "edited DMs and fake dating app conversations" to make him look bad.
James Charles has had a whirlwind year full of professional wins and his fair share of controversies. The beauty influencer famously fell out with friend and mentor Tati Westbrook in early 2019, a situation that resulted in accusations he purposely "pursued" straight men for romantic relationships. Since then, James has spoken out about how labelling gay men as "predatory" can be harmful.
James said he's "had enough" of people editing and fabricating DMs and dating app conversations. This comes weeks after the social media star hit back at allegations he had listed himself as "female" in order to match with straight men on Tinder.

"I understand that james charles straight boy punchlines are an easy way to get likes but i've had enough of the edited dms and fake dating app conversations [sic]," he tweeted on Tuesday 31 December.
James continued: "Some of y'all are far too ugly to ever get my attention and lying for clout is even uglier. Cut it out."
When someone tweeted that his comments were "kinda mean", James quickly responded. He replied: "What's mean is people making a joke out of something that I've already proved my innocence on that ruined my life and mental health for months on end."
In an emotional interview with Paper Magazine back in November, James opened up about how the Tati scandal impacted him and why dating is difficult for him as an influencer.
"You just never know what people's true intentions are," he explained. "With my job, there are so many blessings but a lot of people see them as an opportunity for themselves to either come up, get financial gain, get followers or attention or take me down with them, which has been attempted. I'm just careful...and lonely."
Whatever your issue is with James Charles, folks definitely need to leave clout chasing and fake screenshots in 2019.
