Grimes predicted that people would make fun of the baby's name "because it was "too avant-garde" and she was 100% correct.

Grimes and Elon Musk's new baby X Æ A-12 might only be a couple of days old but they're already an internet sensation and his name has been turned into a hilarious meme.

Artist Grimes (real name Claire Boucher) and Tesla inventor Elon Musk announced the birth of their first child yesterday. True to form, the unlikely couple had an even more unlikely name for their new baby son. In a tweet to a follower, Elon revealed that the baby's name was X Æ A-12.

At first, everyone thought he was joking. But now Grimes appears to have confirmed the name by explaining its meaning. We're still not 100% sure how to pronounce it yet (here's what we *think* it is) but perhaps they'll provide a cute - and simpler - nickname for the child soon.
