As you know, the world is currently gripped by the coronavirus pandemic, which has sadly seen the deaths of over 48,000 people worldwide. While of course there's a lot of troubling things going on right now, there's something the internet has turned to in this time of crisis… memes.

So far, we've seen the birth of social distancing memes, working from home memes and lockdown memes to help us quash those anxious feelings we might be experiencing during this outbreak. Now there's a new meme on the block – and it's too relatable.

Shops have closed, salons are out of business and our favourite restaurants have shut their doors (McDonalds, we miss you). So now a screenshot of Arthur character D.W. staring longingly through a fence is hitting us all to our core.

While we don't know when businesses will resume service and our lives will go back to normal, if we all just stay inside and follow the NHS coronavirus guidelines, we can only hope we'll soon be in the arms of our nail techs again.
