Capital At The Oxford Street Lights Switch On

Oxford Circus Christmas Lights

We’re very proud to reveal that we’ll once again be getting involved in the Oxford Street lights switch on with the NSPCC – kicking off the festive countdown here in London.

It’s happening this Sunday November 6th from 6.15pm, and the show itself will be hosted by Capital’s very own Will Manning and Aimee Vivian.

As always we’ve got some special guests joining us on the night, and right now we have the honour of revealing exactly who they are...

So lighting up London’s Oxford Street this Sunday evening and joining Capital - in partnership with children’s charity NSPCC - to press the all-important switch is... Mr Craig David!

And to get the festivities in full swing – confirmed to perform live on the night are…

The Vamps AND... Louisa Johnson.

A pretty special Sunday night out, right? It’s going to be a great gig with loads of stuff going on before the show too, so make sure you head down and get involved.

With a full day of entertainment in the hours leading up to the Switch On, families and visitors will be able to enjoy the ultimate Christmas shopping day out with a host of interactive activities along the street, from 12 noon until 7pm.

For the first time in Oxford Street’s history, the iconic destination has partnered with a charity for its world famous Christmas lights display: the NSPCC has joined forces with partner Hasbro to launch its Little Stars campaign, by asking members of the public across the country to donate a suggested £5 to dedicate one of Oxford Street’s world famous lights to someone special in their life.
