JLS: "It's going to be electric!"
Our showbiz reporter Kevin Hughes caught up with Aston, Marvin, JB and Oritse at a very worthy event. Listen to the full interview at the bottom of the page.
Alicia Keys was hosting her 'Keep a Child Alive' celebrity ball - this event raises money to provide lifesaving treatment, care and support services to children and families with HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.
Kevin (follow Kevin on Twitter) kicked off by asking the boys why they were supporting Alicia? Marvin told him: "She's an inspiration to us, both as a musician and as a humanitarian. We're happy to be here and be a part of it."
"It's going to be electric in Wembley!"
But Kevin had to ask, are the boys ready to perform on the stage at Wembley Stadium for our Summertime Ball? Aston told us: "We haven't started rehearsing yet. But we've cleared our schedule and it's literally going to be.. electric in Wembley. No secrets are going to be given yet..."
Oritse continued: "There's no event like it throughout the year. You know, this is the one event that everyone wants to be at. We're so grateful that we're back on the show, back performing, it's going to be an incredible, incredible, incredible event. we're so excited."
Bieber fever strikes JLS
So, that's JLS hyped to be performing. But who do they want to see on stage at the Summertime Ball? "Usher. Rihanna. And Justin Bieber. We've got Bieber fever! "
Have the boys met Justin yet? JB revealed: "We haven't met him yet. But we saw him perform, he was on the same stage as us when we performed with Usher. We love him. He's fantastic, he's doing really well. He's a young guy and he's working really hard and we know what he's going through.
What about JB having the same initials as Justin Bieber? "He's trying to steal my initials! I don't know about that."
Oritse sounds like he's getting a bit confused by the whole initials situation: "At one stage (Justin) shouted out 'JB!' and I turned around and said to JB 'Is he talking to you, J?' Then he realised he was talking about himself!"
