The Black Eyed Peas star says he will record new music to replace the songs leaked online from his new album.

Will.i.am has announced plans to delay the release of his new album '#willpower' after several tracks were leaked online following the theft of music from his car last month.

Back in August the 'Great Times' rapper reported his car missing and later revealed that several unfinished demos had been stolen, before they were posted online, and says he will now work on some new songs for the upcoming release.

"Please don't promote the leaks, this song will be taken down," Will.i.am tweeted this week. "If you know anyone that knows the people responsible #stopthem.

"I'm trying to finish #willpower… & now because of all the leaks I have to push the album back to make new songs," the Black Eyed Peas frontman revealed. "I will give you updates soon."

Will.i.am's new solo album has been a work on progress for the past year, with the release of singles like 'T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)' and recent Big Top 40 number one 'This Is Love'.

The record is expected to boast collaborations with the likes of Rihanna and Justin Bieber, while will.i.am recently suggested he plans to release his Britney Spears duet as a single in the coming months.

The Voice UK vocal coache's team-up with fellow judge Danny O'Donoghue from The Script gave the Irish trio a new number one on Sunday (16th September) with 'Hall Of Fame'.

Will.i.am had planned to release '#willpower' this October but a new release date is now expected to be announced.
