The Saturdays launch Poppy Appeal

The Saturdays have helped launch this year's Poppy Appeal.

Mollie King, Una Healy, Vanessa White, Frankie Sandford and Rochelle Wiseman  performed a concert at Colchester Garrison, exclusively for the families of 16 Air Assault Brigade, currently on operations in Afghanistan.

The event featured video messages from personnel stationed in Afghanistan for the families of those watching.

Mollie broke the news via Twitter 'So excited to be the faces of the poppy appeal! It's such an honour! Hope u guys can all support too! Xx'
The launch also featured a parachute display from the Royal British Legion's extreme human flight team, 'Jump4Heroes', who landed next to the site where the first new Personnel Recovery Centre will be built; they've committed £25 million to the Personnel Recovery Centres.

The Royal British Legion is the nation's leading Armed Forces charity providing care and support to all members of the British Armed Forces past and present and their families.

Earlier this week The Saturdays were unveiled as part of this year's Jingle Bell Ball line up.
