The 'We Found Love' singer praises her co-stars and reveals the respect she and Taylor Kitsch had for each other during filming.

Rihanna has confessed that she felt "intimidated" when she was filming her debut acting role in the blockbuster movie Battleship.

The 'Talk That Talk' star told MTV News that "mutual respect" for each other's industries helped her and her co-stars create a unity during filming.

When asked if Rihanna caused any of the stars to feel overwhelmed at her presence on set, the singer quickly responded to say it was her who felt intimated.

She said: "I'll answer this, because it's probably uncomfortable for them to say no, but I was the one that was intimidated."

"You know, we have a mutual respect for each other's industry," she said. "I was walking into this as an amateur - a complete amateur. I didn't know anything and I had a good team to learn from. I watched them, and especially Taylor, 'cause we did a lot of scenes together and he would always offer me advice."

"There was nothing for them to be intimidated about. I was the wreck. I was a wreck, just like, scared to s***," she confessed. "Especially when Liam Neeson showed up to set."

The singer also opened up on seeing herself on screen for the first time and revealed she found it difficult to listen to herself speak with an American accent.
